The 3rd international strategy

In France, an 3rd international strategy was created so that women can have the same benefits as men.

It is the concrete expression of the commitment of the President of the French Republic in favor of equality between women and men.

Inequalities between women and men persist throughout the world and are even worse in certain cases. Faced with this situation, France reinforces the coherence and effectiveness of its "gender" actions in development aid policies.

The 3rd international strategy for equality between women and men 2018-2022 is a management instrument designed to coordinate activities over the next five years and improve the situation of women worldwide.

• Increase the number of women in leadership and ambassadorial positions;

• Sensitize and train all staff to gender issues;

• Systematically integrate equality between women and men in the strategies and activities of the 12 operators who are under the exclusive or shared guardianship of the Ministry.

• Rights of women to dispose of their bodies.

Equality at the center of France's foreign action

The 5 axes of intervention in France's international strategy aim to make equality between women and men the central issue of all the activities carried out by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs: development cooperation; economic, influential, cultural and educational diplomacy; etc.

COLOMBIA

In Colombia, all women and men have the opportunity to work and study. However, women have lower wages than men.

Several economists have wondered for several years what might explain this difference. In a recent keynote speech by Marianne Bertrand it is said that one of the reasons is based on the type of careers women choose versus men choose. Although women study more years, men choose professions that are generally better paid than the professions chosen by women. 

 

However, in Colombia and France they fight for both genders to have the same opportunities. Wages for women higher than or equal to men. In both countries, both genders have the opportunity to have high jobs.

Currently in Colombia women must be seen as weak and today there are many movements of female empowerment.

And there are also men and women recognized throughout the world as important people in Colombia within their career.

Finally, in Colombia women can practice any sport and excel in them without being seen as "machorras", a term used for many years. Currently men and women can practice and excel in Colombian sport.
